• With the objective of inculcating love for the environment among the commerce students following activities were organized during the academic year 2019-20.

• Field Trip to Shilonda Nature Trail, Sanjay Gandhi National Park on 6^th February 2020.
• Solar Power Plant- Guest lecture & Demo on 12^th February 2020.
• Students’ participated in several Inter Collegiate Competition some of them were.
• Geography & Environmental Quiz” organized by the department of Geography, D.G. Ruparel College & INCA on 9^th January 2019.
• Environmental Studies Quiz” an inter collegiate GEO- MUMBA 2020 competition organized by the Department of Geography, University of Mumbai in association with INCA & sponsored by Lions Club of Bombay on 14^th & 15^th February 2020.

SOLAR POWER PLANT

GUEST LECTURE & DEMO

Green Club of our college organized guest lecture on Solar Energy on 12^thFeb 2020 at 8:30am. Mr. Sohail Shaikh from MSS Renewtech was the resource person for the same. He talked on the present scenario & Future Prospects of solar energy in India. He also simplified the Maharashtra Net Metering Policy & its Application. After the lecture students were taken to the terrace of our college where solar power plant is installed. One of the engineer for MSS Renewtech also accompanied the group for demo of solar plant. He demonstrated the functioning of solar power plant. He also explained two types of solar photovolatic power i.e. on grid & off grid. Students interacted with resource person and got satisfactory answers for their quarries on capacity of plant, installation (direction & spacing of panel), functioning etc. It was enriching experience for the students.
