ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
As N. R. Narayana Murthy rightly said, “Nobody is bothered about an institution more than its alumni”. This is how an institution becomes ONE and this is possible by facilitating alumni relations with the institute.
The Alumni Committee of Smt K G Mittal College of Arts and Commerce, is a student-driven body established to foster and sustain the bond between our esteemed alumni and the present students in the college.
Many of our alumni have reached milestones in their professions and they have set benchmarks for their successors to follow. The objective of our committee is to provide a platform that enables students to learn from our alumni, through their experiences by giving them opportunities to share their experiences with the students of our institutions.
The committee aims to connect with their institution for a lifetime and express their loyalty for the college. We have future plans to conduct cultural and sports events once every year and this events will be initiated by the MITTALITES ALUMNIS to stay connected.
Aims & Objectives of Alumni Association:
- 1. KGM Alumni Association main objective is to help former students to find good job opportunities.
- 2. Alumni will continue to have access to campuses and public lectures, libraries, and sports facilities.
- 3. To interact with students, staff, faculty and with one another.
- 4. To actively participate in the improvement of infrastructure& academic activities of the institution.
- 5. To help in deciding prizes and scholarships for meritorious students and financial aid for the poor and deserving students of the institution.
- 6. To organize a range of events and reunions to keep connected.
- 7. Keep Contact with Classmates
- 8. Networking – Alumni have a very large network of professional contacts. Some alumni are already professionals with established careers and businesses. This can help the present students in career progression throughout their lives.
- 9. Professional and Careers services – Alumni can be offered a range of professional and career services such as coaching and cv/resume reviews, mentoring, professional development events and training, online resources, webinars, and an exclusive jobs board.
- 10. Banking and financial services – Some alumni may have benefits, such as discounts on car, home and health services and also banking services such as loans and mortgages for buying a home.
- 11. Alumni Association can help to fund assist and support the future graduates of the institution.
- 12. Alumni who have completed higher education abroad can a source of inspiration and guide and counsel our present students.
HAMARA KGM COLLEGE ASSOCIATION
The Alumni Association, Hamara KGM College Association is registered with
corporate identity number U85500MH2023NPL400077.
Alumni of the institution hold key positions in academic bodies such as Board of Studies, IQAC and the Career Development Cell, and represent the Joint Registrar’s Office and Education Department, and the University of Mumbai. Many of the alumni of the institution have joined as teaching faculty and are now colleagues. A few others conduct regular guest lectures, serve as visiting faculty and are available for mentoring. Some of the Alumni share their expertise in quality maintenance, administration, education and knowledge infrastructure.
The provision of fees for economically disadvantaged students is made by the Alumni whenever necessary. The Alumni are invited to and get involved in all major functions of the college, including Annual Day. The Alumni also support us by providing required facilities for infrastructure augmentation. The Alumni who are experts in the field of Law deliver lectures on legal issues like Awareness on Consumer Rights. Alumni from the field of Information Technology and Mass Media helps in the placement of students. Assistance in providing internships is also provided by the Alumni.
One of our ALumni Pratham Maurya from the Department of Computer Science conducted a value added courses on Python using Django for Computer Science students.The course was of duration 30 hrs.
