Solar Power Project

Green Club of our college organized guest lecture on Solar Energy on 12th Feb 2020
at 8:30am. Mr. Sohail Shaikh from MSS Renewtech was the resource person for
the same. He talked on the present scenario & future prospects of solar energy in
India. He also simplified the Maharashtra Net Metering Policy & its application.
After the lecture students were taken to the terrace of our college where solar
power plant is installed. One of the engineer for MSS Renewtech also
accompanied the group for demo of solar plant. He demonstrated the functioning
of solar power plant. Further he explained two types of solar photovolatic power i.e.
on grid & off grid. Students interacted with resource person and got satisfactory
answers for their queries on capacity of plant, installation (direction & spacing of
panel), functioning etc. It was enriching experience for the students.
