ICT ENABLED FACILITIES
Our institution has regularly maintained and updated its IT facilities for the benefit of various stake holders.
Hardware:
Our institution has 103 computers which are regularly upgraded with new components including RAM.
Internet:
Our institution has four broadband connections of 60MBps, 50MBps, 20MBps and 20MBps and16 routers are used which are regularly upgraded.
Software:
Open source software is used for the delivery of curriculum. Campus license with Microsoft is made. All machines are protected with the licensed copy of antivirus. Windows Server 2016 is installed in data center server, which is equipped with licensed firewall.
Smart Classrooms/ Projectors:
The institution has one smart classroom with EyeRIS sensing technology to enhance teaching learning process. The proposal for 3 more smart classrooms is approved and purchase order is given to the respective vendor. However, due to pandemic it is expected to be accomplished within a short span of time. All classrooms are Wi-Fi enabled with large number of classrooms equipped with mounted projectors and mobile projectors are also available.
Delivery of Curriculum &Examination:
A dedicated webcam is fitted to the computer used for downloading University question papers. CCTV surveillance is available Paper shredder and photo copier device is also available. Microsoft LMS and its platforms, Google Workspace for Education and its applications such as Gmail, Google drive, Google calendar are used for delivery of curriculum and conduct of examination.
Library:
Our library is fully automated and IT enabled. It uses ILMS software.
Communication:
All official communications are done using Office 365, GSuite using KGMITTAL domain.
Website:
An active website is hosted on its own domain and is updated with latest notifications for the stake holders.
Office:
Administrative staff is equipped with internet enabled computers and essential software, printers, Xerox and scanner. Biometric attendance is available for the teaching and administrative staff, which was replaced with face recognition during the pandemic.
